The second season of ‘1923’, the Dutton family’s origin story, is set to be released on February 23, 2025. Serving as a prequel spinoff to the legendary series ‘Yellowstone’, the new season has been a long wait for the fans.
The cruel winter comes along with even crueler challenges and life-threatening adversaries that are likely harm to harm the Duttons, the new season suggests the insurmountable problems that the families have to overcome. In the trailer released recently, Montana is portrayed as ‘the playground’ for The Elite, and with the harsh winter, Spencer, the war hero is set on a strange journey and has to find a way to reunite with his family. Alexandra tries to navigate the journey from the Atlantic to meet Spencer. The story revolves around the conflict of love, loyalty, survival, and the amount of depression from the chances of the impending war. The trailer also introduced Jennifer Carpenter’s character as Marshal.
“I’m trying to prevent a war here,” Robert Patrick’s Sheriff William McDowell said firmly in the two-minute clip, while Jacob retaliated, “It ain’t preventable! He wants to take this place from us.” “Anything worth coming is worth fighting for,” said Cara Dutton is the ultimate dialogue that encompasses the feeling behind the series.

Written by Taylor Sheridan, the cast of the series includes, Brandon Sklenar as Spencer Dutton, Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton, Julia Schlaepfer as Alexandra, Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton, Jerome Flynn as Banner Creighton, Robert Patrick as Sheriff William McDowell, and Brian Geraghty as Zane Davis, among many others.
The new season will air on February 23, 2025, following the weekly episodes. It will air exclusively on Paramount +, however, as season 1 was broadcast on Paramount Network, the exclusivity can’t be confirmed yet.
