Hollyoaks fans are convinced they know who Ro Hutchinson’s new friend Nina really is.
Tony and Diane Hutchinson’s son has been messaging ‘Nina’ online following his bullying ordeal with Arlo Fielding.
After months of verbal and physical abuse at the hands of Arlo, Ro has felt increasingly lonely in recent weeks.
He did strike up a bond with Kathleen-Angel McQueen and it was hinted that he potentially had feelings for his friend.
In scenes which aired this week, Ro shared his concerns that his new friend that his future is looking on the bleaker side.
During Wednesday’s (April 2) episode, which is available to stream online, Ro met up with with Kathleen-Angel. As the youngsters got to know each other more, Ro informed Kathleen-Angel that he has been speaking to a new online friend called Nina.
As the pair talked it over, Ro explained that Nina listens to his troubles and helps him with some of his worries but who exactly is this mysterious new character?
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “Do we think Nina is a possible child predator or a real teen that Ro is speaking to? # Hollyoaks.”
Another added: “What if Nina is Ds Banks? He’s dating Ro’s mum which gives him easy access to Ro and he knows he is vulnerable #hollyoaks.”
A third person said: “Ro is way too young to be targeted by the exploitation ring right……right. please say right. #hollyoaks.”
DI Banks was recently revealed as Grace Black and Rex Gallagher’s boss in the human trafficking storyline.
Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) have been targeted with the offer of a lifestyle that they perceive to be glamorous as part of the gripping storyline.
The reality is they have been lured into world that it is difficult to escape from without intervention, where they will find themselves subject to criminal and sexual exploitation.
Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 from 7am
