Navajo County woman charged in child sexual abuse material case

A Navajo County woman is accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material.
Hailee Hernandez, 29, of Overgaard, Arizona, is charged in suspicion of two counts of possessing sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of distributing sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office.
Hernandez was arrested April 7 in connection with a Sheriff’s Office and FBI investigation that signaled her out as a suspect tied to the online possession and distribution of the sexual abuse material, according to the county agency. Digital evidence against Hernandez was obtained through a search warrant, the Sheriff’s Office added.
Hernandez was being held on a $250,000 secured bond, according to an April 10 Facebook post from the Sheriff’s Office.
“This arrest underscores our strong commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Navajo County Sheriff David Clouse.
