Netanyahu thanks top US diplomat Rubio for 'unequivocal' backing on Gaza
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio began his first Middle East tour on Sunday by meeting Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem. In a joint statement, Netanyahu and Rubio highlighted their countries’ “common strategy” to eliminate Hamas’s military and political role in Gaza and bring all of the remaining hostages back to Israel.
